Dallas, TX based semi-acoustic indie retro rock and honky tonk duet, Atom & EV’s music is like a soundtrack for a men’s pulp fiction magazine circa 1965. EV’s emotive torch vocals and deep bass guitar paired with Atom’s low country voice and spritely old rock guitar style evokes smoky bars, exotic jezebels, hep cats, and love gone right and wrong.
As a duet, or with their backing band, The Bad Apples, providing additional bluesy guitar and a showy drum array, Atom & EV’s jazzy folked up original music and reinterpretations of old material put a swing in the audiences’ hips and a smile on their faces. No one ever felt so good about hearing how things are so bad.
Familiar but new, it’s a battle of the sexes, but with guitars! Dig the Atomic Age, baby!
